Fale Pasifika O Aoraki  trading as Pasifika O Aoraki Services provides support for Pacific people living in our region, from Ashburton to Ōamaru right through the Mackenzie District. Some of the services include:

  • Whānau Ora
  • Whānau Resiliency
  • Prevention & Intervention of family violence

We are here to help you get sorted; contact us for help with government departments, completion of forms, health and wellbeing etc. We run the local anti-violence campaign and are here to listen when you need it. We also organise and run many community groups and events.

Services we provide include: Someone to help you approach Government departments such as: Work & income, IRD, ACC, Housing NZ, Ministry of Justice, Immigration NZ, Ministry of Health etc. Translation of forms or at an appointment. Knowing more about your Pacific heritage etc. Our “Anti-Violence” campaign and services. Someone to talk to, someone to listen. Transitional Housing programme - up to 12 weeks housing support and wrap-around service. Family violence and mental health, especially in the context of Pasifika families, is a priority concern to Fale Pasifika. It is not okay, and it was never okay! All our programmes have positive mental health and wellbeing messages. We are continually working with communities, families and individuals on the "It's not okay" message, providing tools and space for personal change. We run the local anti-violence campaign and some one-on-one and family services. We run workshops that educate and raise awareness of family violence for Pacific people and families.
