Description

The Aroha Mai Cancer Support Services is a voluntary team and our aim is to extend support to cancer sufferers and their families by offering the following services:

  • Counseling with compassion
  • Guidance when required
  • Assisting/supporting family members
  • “Listening ear”
  • Transport assistance to medical appointments
  • Help/assist patient, family to understand treatments and the side effects
  • Awhiawhi the patient and family when requested
  • Working in a culturally appropriate manner that adheres to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi

Aroha Mai is Rotorua based. We are unique to the Rotorua communtiy and to the Te Arawa iwi. We dont specify to one cancer group, we accommodate to all types of cancer while also embracing family/whānau.

Whānau Ora
