Description:

INP Medical Clinic, based in central Nelson, has a team of specially trained doctors and nurses who provide a wide range of sexual and reproductive healthcare services.

INP also provides the service for specialist confidential and sensitive medical care for survivors of sexual abuse and assault (SAAT) for the top of the South Island. Our SAATs team is based in Nelson and Blenheim. 

INP Medical Clinic services are Free for under 22 years and include:

• Contraception
• STI checks and cervical smears
• Concerns regarding sexuality and gender
• Management of periods, menopause and infertility
• Early pregnancy care

Sexual Assault care services are provided FREE and include:

• Forensic medical examinations within 7-days of the assault 
• Medical checks for infections and appropriate medication if needed
• Doctors' appointments at any time following abuse, even if years later
• General medical care 
• Follow-up care
• Referral to specialist support agencies

The quickest way to get an examination, following sexual assault, is to contact the Police. They will then contact INP doctors and specialist support agencies for you.
