Description
Residential and community support for Te Whatu Ora Lakes clients who experience mental health issues.
People don’t care how much you know... until they know how much you care
“Tee warea e te tangata o mohiotanga kia mohio raano kit e nui o to manawanui”
We have been caring for people for over two decades through providing a range of service options including access to home-like accommodation, aids to daily living as well as mental health service support. We accept clients into our organisation who are already engaged with Te Whatu Ora Lakes mental health services who have a mental health diagnosis.
Braemore operates from a primary site located in Ngongotaha with the service offering 24/7 support to a maximum of 4 people at any one time. We also provide services within the community ranging from medication delivery to intensive daily supports.
All funding is sourced directly through Te whatu Ora Lakes and all referrals must come through LinkPeople which is the needs assessment and service coordination provider for our region. If you or Braemore staff believe that your needs have changed LinkPeople will be requested to complete a review of your support plan.
If you (or someone you know) are caring for a person who is a current user of mental health services then you may be eligible for applying for carer respite which is 28 days per year of support in the home or in a residential facility. You can discuss this option with a Social Worker.
