Description

Active Osteopathy can identify the underlying issues causing you pain and put an action plan in place to help relieve your symptoms.
Our Osteopaths and Acupuncturists can specifically tailor treatment to your individual age and lifestyle. We can provide treatment, prevention and management to injuries and pain of the spine, joints, ligaments and muscles.

Services offered include osteopathy for:

What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine that promotes healing by focusing on how the skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, circulation, connective tissue and internal organs function as a holistic unit.

Treatment techniques include stretching and massage for general treatment of the soft tissues (muscles, tendons and ligaments) along with mobilisation and manipulation of specific joints and soft tissues using direct or indirect techniques. Learn more here.

Staff

Principal Osteopath: Cushla Geck

Cushla has a Master of Osteopathy and Postgraduate Certificate in Western Medical Acupuncture, and eight years of experience as a physical rehabilitation specialist. She is interested in injury prevention and active recovery, especially for shoulders, lower back, hip and pelvic conditions. Read more about Cushla here.

Associate Osteopath: Kate Frost
Kate is interested in working with complex presentations when the pain/discomfort is persistent. She also enjoys working with acute pain/injuries and general aches and tension in the body. 
She uses a holistic approach in her practice. In addition to diagnosing and giving hands-on treatment, Katherine is happy to provide her patients with lifestyle advice, a detailed explanation of their condition, and an appropriate exercise programme when needed. Read more about Kate here.
