Upper Hutt Women's Centre

Social Service, Abuse and Violence Support

Today

Description

Upper Hutt Women's Centre aims to provide, maintain and develop a women only centre which promotes and encourages development and empowerment for all women in an educative and supportive environment.

We all experience personal challenges or issues in our lives. We can deal with these times by talking to friends or family, or trying to deal with things ourselves. There are times, however, when issues are too much for us to manage on our own or cannot be resolved by support from our friends or family. At such times, seeking support and strategies from a professional such as a counsellor can be helpful.

Ages

Youth / Rangatahi, Adult / Pakeke, Older adult / Kaumātua

Fees and Charges Description

For counselling services: if you have a community services card, you may be eligible to apply to WINZ to assist with this cost. If you do not have a CSC and the cost would make attending unaffordable then please ring the centre coordinator to discuss a fee structure and payments that would enable you to attend; we don't want cost to be a barrier for women needing support.
