Enliven’s Chalmers Home offers rest home and hospital level care services, as well as short term respite and health recovery care.

Chalmers Home is a rest home with spark. Residents often tell us they love the friendly, vibrant and family focused atmosphere as well as the modern facility with its beautiful views over the Pacific Ocean.

Chalmers Home, like all Enliven Central homes, embraces an elder-directed model of care called the Eden Alternative. As an Enliven home we’re proud to be more than just ‘family friendly’. At Chalmers Home, your family is part of our family. 

Our staff are not only highly trained, they’re also friendly, caring and embrace our elder-directed philosophy of care. Our nurses are on duty 24 hours a day. The doctor also visits regularly and we are in regular contact with residents to ensure all clinical needs are met. Of course, if you have other health needs such as physiotherapy, we can usually arrange for a health professional to visit Chalmers Home.

All staff are trained in palliative care. There is a close liaison with Taranaki Hospice.
