Description

Te Aroha & District Community Hospital and Lawrence House, in partnership with the local community, provide a warm, safe and friendly environment.

Care focuses on the optimum wellbeing of patients and residents, maintaining their dignity and encouraging participation in the local community.  Patients and residents receive safe and reasonable services, respectful of their rights and endeavour to minimize any harm.

We acknowledge and encourage cultural and individual values and beliefs. Friends, family and whānau are an integral part of the caring team, involved with the patients and residents in decisions concerning their wellbeing.

Te Aroha & District Community Hospital is a 45-bed care facility. Every resident at Lawrence House has an individual room and two rooms at the hospital are shared. The rooms are spacious for you to bring in your favourite ornaments. We want you to feel at home.

For your peace of mind, we have 24-hour RN and on-call Medical Officer cover. Our care staff are well trained to ensure they have the knowledge, understanding and ability to provide a high standard of care to our patients.

Staff

We have 24/7 Registered Nursing staff and a large staff of Health Care Assistants experienced in providing knowledge based and compassionate care.
We work in partnership with Health Te Aroha General Practitioners / Nursing Practitioners and Te Korowai Hau Ora to provide medical support for residents/patients/clients.
We have a large team of supporting staff maintaining our facility and preparing meals.
Our Clinical Facility Manager manages our day-today business, working alongside our community Trust Board in order to retain this very valuable and well used facility for our community members.

Referral

Residential Respite and Inpatient GP care require a referral.

Fees and Charges Description

The fee or charge is dependent on the type of referral for which you are seeking to enter our facility. We cannot accept any admissions without prior arrangement.

Our visiting hours are restricted to:

10.00am – 12.00pm

2.00pm – 4.00pm

6.00pm – 7.00pm
