MSc Physiotherapy

Kieran graduated from University College Cork, Ireland with a BSc (Hons) in Physiology before being awarded his MSc in Physiotherapy in 2018 at Teesside University in the UK. Since graduating he has worked across both the public and private healthcare sectors in England, completing his core rotations in trauma & elective orthopaedics, musculoskeletal outpatients, stroke and respiratory care in the NHS before transitioning to work as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in private practice. Kieran moved to Queenstown in 2020 where he has worked since.

Kieran’s main interest and experience is in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and he is also a qualified APPI certified Pilates instructor and regularly runs both 1-1 and class sessions with his patients. He utilises exercise prescription, Pilates, dry needling and manual therapy to provide person-centered care to each of his patients. In 2022 Kieran was the Lead Physiotherapist for the Skycity Stampede Ice-Hockey team as they won the New Zealand National Championship.

Kieran’s love of outdoor pursuits led him to Queenstown, where he combines his love of the mountains with his passion for sport. Outside of the clinic, you will find Kieran skiing in the winter and tramping and playing Hurling & Gaelic Football in the summer months with the Queenstown Gaels.
