Pelvic Health Physiotherapy for Women & Men Catherine is an expert pelvic health and musculoskeletal physiotherapist with postgraduate training in both fields. She is currently in her fourth and final year of a Master’s degree in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. This has included a Graduate Certificate in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy through the University of Melbourne in 2023 and a Professional Certificate in the Conservative Management of Pelvic Organ Prolapse with the University of South Australia in 2024. The latter confirms her full credentials in vaginal pessary fitting for women suffering with pelvic organ prolapse, where she works collaboratively with patients’ GPs and medical specialists. Catherine supports both women and men with a wide range of pelvic health concerns, including persistent pelvic pain (such as pain related to endometriosis or dyspareunia), pelvic organ prolapse, menopause-related changes, bowel dysfunction, incontinence, and post-surgical recovery. She also has a strong focus on pre- and postnatal care, birth trauma and including the management of maternal birth injuries covered by ACC. With a comprehensive background in musculoskeletal sports and exercise physiotherapy, Catherine places a strong emphasis on individualised exercise prescription as a core part of her treatment approach. This is particularly valuable during pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and in the long-term management of pelvic health conditions, helping patients build confidence in movement and return to an active lifestyle safely and effectively. Catherine also works one day per week in a specialist pelvic health clinic alongside a gynaecologist, further strengthening her advanced clinical experience in pelvic health physiotherapy.
