Step + Stride Podiatry is conveniently situated in Remuera, near Newmarket, satellite clinics at Westgate Medical Centre (Westgate Shopping Centre) in Massey, and Mangawhai (Mangawhai Osteopathy).
I graduated in 1994 and have been helping people of all ages with their feet, from the very young to the elderly, to sports people and those just wanting some TLC for their feet.
In 2016, I graduated with a PostGrad Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Otago, where my interest in Sports Podiatry deepened. Over the years I have developed a special interest in children's health and foot problems - ranging from those with connective tissue disorders, neurodiverse individuals or those who have sustained an injury. I completed an MPhil in 2023.
I am a life member of Podiatry New Zealand, a member of Sports Medicine New Zealand and Sports Medicine Australia, and a member of the Clinical Advisory panel for EDS New Zealand. In 2021, I was made a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for Services to Podiatry.
Caron has a special interest in both adult and paediatric foot health, sports injuries, biomechanical issues and connective tissue disorders suchs as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD). She is a certified member of the Ehlers-Danlos Society CORE Network of Excellence (Aotearoa Network).
