My traditional healing practice spans over 30 years, specialising in supporting people with long-term chronic injuries and mental health challenges, often achieving positive outcomes.
Being fluent in matekitetanga, wairuatanga, romiromi, mirimiri, and rongoā Māori. Through lifelong mentoring, my work navigates across both the physical and spiritual realms.
This has guided my work with high-needs whānau, supporting healing in areas such as mate Māori, mate pōrangi, mate haurangi, and mate makutu that are spiritual afflictions that are at the root of mental health issues, chronic illness, addiction, trauma, family violence, eating disorders, suicidal distress, and sexual abuse.
AIO Healing Ltd: Dr Charlotte Mildon
Using a natural approach to clean the body’s systems with dietary changes, natural healing rongoā remedies, mirimiri, taa miri, koo miri and romiromi, restores the equilibrium often resulting in holistic wellbeing. Personally, I prefer to teach whaiora how to heal themselves so they can thereafter heal their own whānau.
He Whakataukī: Ahakoa he iti, he pounamu.

In 2023, I graduated with a Doctorate in Philosophy having researched traditional Māori healing romiromi. As a result of my academic research, I recently published the Rongoā Māori report for High Needs Whānau in Ahuriri funded by the Mana Ahuriri Trust, the ‘He Tohuna Kura Waka’ and ‘He Atua Wahine at the source of ancient Māori healing wisdom’ are available at libraries or on my website: https://hmmct.com/aio-healing-online-shop/
Te Whatu Ora funds the Te Waka Tapu o Takitimu Wānanga Series, designed for whānau Māori and fānau Pasifika with whakapapa to the Takitimu Waka.
Dr Charlotte Mildon is the lead facilitator who comes from a long line of Tohunga specialising in authentic Te Oomai Reia Romiromi teaching healing philosophies, rituals and practices as a 'way of living' rather than just a healing modality when you are unwell. The intention being to preserve authentic traditional Māori healingromiromi for future generations that can be used in the home by the whānau of all ages.
As a result of these wānanga over the last 3 years, a group of kai-mirimiri graduates will be starting this year in different areas working under AIO Healing in Hamilton, Hastings, Havelock North and possibly the Wairarapa this year.
Claiming descent from a long line of Tohunga (trained from an early age in traditional Māori healing) and Tohuna (Tuhoe sower of the seeds of ancient healing wisdom) and Tohunga Ahurewa (master healing priests/priestesses of a much higher order), I have been mentored by the following internationally acclaimed masters in their field:
Tohuna - the late Dr Pere (17 years), Tohunga romiromi - Atarangi Muru (12 years), Tohunga Ahurewa - the late Joe De La Mere (2 years) and Tohunga Ahurewa - the late Manu Korewha (10 years) and Tohunga Matekite - the late Pineaha Murray (2 years) as well as the Tohunga Rongoā - the late Te Awhina Riwaka (2 years) and Tohunga Rongoā - the late Tom Maraki (5 years).
