Who are we?
Ngātahi is a health service grounded in kaupapa Māori values and practices. We work with approved ACC clients seeking Rongoā Māori as part of their rehabilitation journey, supporting recovery alongside treatment for injury and sensitive claims.
The name Ngātahi speaks to unity, people coming together with a shared purpose. Our purpose is to Connect, Care & Restore, drawing on mātauranga Māori and the guidance of our tūpuna. Through Rongoā Māori we provide a safe and supportive space for healing, strengthening wellbeing for individuals and their whānau.

Awhina Motutere - ACC Registered Rongoā Māori Practitioner
Ko Mauao me Tawhirirangi ōku maunga, ko Tauranga te moana, ko Mohaka te awa. Ko Kutaroa me Te Kahu o te Rangi ōku marae, ko Ngāti Tauaiti me Ngāti Pahauwera ōku hapū. Ko Ngāi Te Rangi me Ngāti Kahungunu ōku iwi. Ko Mataatua me Takitimu ōku waka. Ko Āwhina tōku ingoa.
As the founder of Ngātahi, my work is dedicated to restoring balance through Rongoā Māori. I weave ancestral knowledge, clinical training, and wairua guidance to create spaces of deep healing, safety, and authentic connection. My vision is to nurture tūhononga the sacred bonds between people, whenua, and wairua — so that wellbeing flourishes for individuals, whānau, and community.

Ko Matawhaura me Rangiuru ōku maunga, ko Te Ohautanga o Potakatawhiti me Te Awanui o Kaituna ōku awa. Ko Te Takinga me Mokotangatakotahi ōku marae, ko Ngāti Te Takinga me Ngāti Moko ōku hapū, ko Ngāti Pikiao me Tapuika ōku iwi. He uri ahau nō ngā pito mata o te waka o Te Arawa. Ko Bella Rapana ahau.
I support your return to balance by honouring te whare tapawhā: hinengaro (mind), tinana (body), wairua (spirit), and whānau (relationships). My practice weaves personal experience, academic learning, and ancestral wisdom, guided by wairua and the teachings of our tūpuna. Tungia te ururua kia tupu whakaritorito te tipu o te harakeke — clear the path so new growth may flourish.
Kamira Te Rangi
“Pāpāki tu ana ngā tai ki Mauao, ka whakanukunuku hia, ka whakanekeneke hia…”
He uri tēnei nō Ngāti Rongomai, Ngāti Pikiao, Raukawa, Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāti Hangarau me Ngāti Kahungunu. Ko Kamira Te Rangi ahau.
I am deeply connected to the taiao, finding guidance in the ngahere, rākau, and manu of Ōmanawa. My path in Rongoā weaves traditional healing with holistic practices, shaped by my own journey and kōrero. I hold a Diploma in Rongoā Māori, a Level 2 Yoga certification, and have trained in Reiki, meditation, and breathwork. I believe in tūhononga — that we cross paths for a reason. Nau mai e te iwi.

Services Provided
ACC Rongoā Māori ACC recognise rongoā Māori as a kaupapa Māori service. It's culturally grounded care that weaves tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori, te reo Māori, and te ao Māori through all aspects of the service. We respect that these aspects embrace ngā taonga tuku iho (intergenerational gifts and knowledge handed down from tupuna Māori). We see rongoā Māori in the wider context of traditional Māori healing methodologies. ACC don't consider healing techniques from non-Māori cultural traditions, such as reiki or hyperbaric oxygen treatment, part of rongoā Māori. Even if they're provided by rongoā Māori practitioners. What to expect from Ngātahi Ngātahi offers Mirimiri and Romiromi within a safe and supportive space, welcoming both those new to Rongoā Māori and those with prior experience. Our services also include Te Rau Aroha alignment, compressing, poulticing, and Rongoā rākau. Each consultation is designed to empower and support your wellness journey, with healing viewed as a collaborative process. We work alongside you to restore balance and strengthen wellbeing, while you remain an active participant in your own recovery.
