Oranga Ahurewa provides Traditional Māori Healing within a culturally grounded and structured framework that supports restoration, balance, and long-term wellbeing.

Our practice recognises that injury, illness, and trauma affect the whole person — tinana, hinengaro, wairua, manawa, and whānau. Care is individualised, responsive, and grounded in tikanga Māori.

Oranga Ahurewa offers Traditional Māori Healing therapies including:
Karakia – Spiritual protection and blessings when required within session.
Purea – Spiritual / Mental / Emotional / Physical cleansing.
Kōmiri – Consultation, therapeutic kōrero, advice and cultural support.
Romi ā Rehua – Deep therapeutic alignment bodywork.
Mirimiri – Therapeutic massage and restorative bodywork.
Rongoā Māori – Specialised native plant remedies to suit your individual needs.

We work with clients of all ages and cultures who have been affected by:
• Spiritual and Mental trauma
• Physical injuries (including ACC-related conditions)
• Chronic and Acute sickness

Healing at Oranga Ahurewa is intentional, layered, and uncompromising in its integrity — restoring balance and strengthening mauri where it has been compromised.

Services Provided

ACC Rongoā Māori

ACC Rongoā Māori ACC recognise rongoā Māori as a kaupapa Māori service. It's culturally grounded care that weaves tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori, te reo Māori, and te ao Māori through all aspects of the service. We respect that these aspects embrace ngā taonga tuku iho (intergenerational gifts and knowledge handed down from tupuna Māori). We see rongoā Māori in the wider context of traditional Māori healing methodologies. ACC don't consider healing techniques from non-Māori cultural traditions, such as reiki or hyperbaric oxygen treatment, part of rongoā Māori. Even if they're provided by rongoā Māori practitioners.
