Te Ahi Koomau Rongoā Services offers Traditional Māori Healing therapies including:

Kōmiri/Whitiwhiti Kōrero - Consultation, advice and cultural support

Te Romiromi o Rehua - Deep Therapeutic Body work

Te Mirimiri o Papatŭanuku - Therapeutic Massage

Rongoā Māori - Specialised native plant remedies to suit your individual needs.

We assist pregnancy before, during and after care.

Including clients, of all ages and cultures, who have been affected by Spiritual and Mental trauma, Physical injuries, as well as Chronic and Acute sicknesses.

Staff

Winnie Retimana is an ACC registered Rongoā Māori practitioner of Te Whānau ā Apanui, Ngāti Maniapoto, Te Rarawa and Ngāpuhi descent.

She has been practising Traditional Māori Healing for over 29 years nurtured by her Kuia and Prominent Tohunga from a very young age.

Her work has been recognised throughout Aotearoa and abroad, helping people of all ethnicities, through Traditional Māori Healing practices.

Winnie is the Founder and Owner of Te Ahi Koomau Rongoa Services and Successor of Ngā Tohunga o Nga Hau e Wha.

ACC Rongoā Māori ACC recognise rongoā Māori as a kaupapa Māori service. It's culturally grounded care that weaves tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori, te reo Māori, and te ao Māori through all aspects of the service. We respect that these aspects embrace ngā taonga tuku iho (intergenerational gifts and knowledge handed down from tupuna Māori). We see rongoā Māori in the wider context of traditional Māori healing methodologies. ACC don't consider healing techniques from non-Māori cultural traditions, such as reiki or hyperbaric oxygen treatment, part of rongoā Māori. Even if they're provided by rongoā Māori practitioners.
