Description

The Otago & Southland Division 
The Otago and Southland Division works to improve community wellbeing by reducing the incidence and impact of cancer with core activities in Support Services, Cancer Prevention, Information and Research.

Our comprehensive range of support services is designed to help patients, carers, friends and family deal with the impact of cancer while maintaining a positive future outlook. 

We receive no direct government funding and rely solely on the generosity of donors for funding.

  • Providing patient and carers support and information services
  • Cancer Prevention - programmes to reduce cancer risk

  • Fundraising activities including Daffodil Day and Relay For Life

Staff

We have a friendly team of healthcare professionals who are available to help and provide information and support to people, their families  / whānau and supporters who have a cancer diagnosis or who are receiving treatment for cancer.

Our Cancer Information Helpline is a national toll-free service available to people with cancer, their family/whānau, the general public and health professionals.

Our doors are always open to anyone who is need of support around a cancer diagnosis. It could be a person with a cancer diagnosis, a loved one seeking support, a friend or a colleague. If you are seeking information about what is available to you and your whānau, know we will make the time to listen and to care - and to connect you with the services that are right for you.
