Melanoma New Zealand aims to save lives every day by raising awareness about melanoma prevention and early detection. Our strategies include improving the outcomes for persons with melanoma, and to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention of melanoma in New Zealand. Melanoma New Zealand provides support for people affected by melanoma along with information on melanoma via the website, publications, meetings, education forums, free spot check and education community visits and one on one interactions. What do we provide?
- Support for patients including online and phone consultations.
Support for family/whānau/partners - Information and resources for patients and family/whānau/partners and health providers
- Community site visits where a dedicated Nurse Educator offers free skin cancer spot checks and education about the importance of early detection and prevention of melanoma.
