Description
What is Community Transport? - Coastal Community Transport have a team of friendly drivers that use their private vehicles to take people with no other means of transport to their important appointments.
Where do we go? - Based in Ōpunake, the service provides transport through to New Plymouth, Hāwera or Stratford. Please contact us for more information regarding districts.
These appointments may include:
Medical: such as doctor, hospital, outpatient clinics, specialists.
Social: WINZ, IRD
This service is run by volunteers and is solely funded by donations and fundraising. These donations stay within the Ōpunake region.
Please note this is not an emergency service.
Transport is at the discretion of the coordinator.
Eligibility criteria do apply and all bookings need to be made at least 48 hours before your appointment.
