Description

At Cranford Hospice our goal is to help people make the most of the time they have left and to enable them to live each moment – whether they are at home, in an aged care facility or have come to us for a short stay in our eight-bed inpatient facility. Our dedicated team helps:

  • Manage complex symptoms (emotional, spiritual, cultural and physical)
  • People feel more comfortable about death and provide them with the emotional support they need
  • Assist family and whānau to manage any practical details that may be involved when caring for a loved one who is dying
  • Rural communities to deliver palliative care
  • Educate and support healthcare providers.

How do I access this service?

Referral

Referrals can be made by any health professional or a person can self-refer. There are criteria to be met for a referral to be accepted.

Hours

Our inpatient unit operates 24/7.
Our community service runs Monday to Friday, 0830 to 1700hrs.
There is a 24/7 advice line for health providers and patients.  Please note, this is operated by our in-patient unit staff, so if they are busy with a patient, they may not be able to attend the phone immediately.
