Description

Te Temu Matehuka o Aotearoa, Diabetes Foundation Aotearoa, emphasises partnership with the community to achieve better health for present and for future generations.   We design and run a range of health promotion and health education programmes aimed at diabetes and diabetes complication prevention.  We have skills and experience in our team in a wide range of areas including health promotion/public health, community based and other research, programme design and delivery, resource design and production, planning and running community based events and evaluation/reporting.

Emergency Notification

We are a charitable trust providing education/health promotion related services.  We do not provide health or emergency services, or hold medications, medical equipment or money onsite.  Please contact your GP or care provider for medical support, or in the event of an emergency, contact emergency services.

Staff

Skills currently onsite include public health, health promotion, specialist nursing, dietetics, physical activity, diabetes and obesity prevention/management, VLCD, research and recruiting, advocacy, education, youth/adolescent, community engagement, capacity building, resource and programme design.

Fees and Charges Description

Most of our current services are fully funded and free for delivery across Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.  Where specific new project work, research or resource design is required there may be a cost associated with this.    Contact us to ask what we can do either through the website or phone 09 273 96500.

8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

We are not open on public holidays or weekends.
