Community Health Service, Kaupapa Māori

Today

Description

ACC recovery agents send me long term chronic injuries to heal often resulting in positive outcomes but then my traditional healing practice extends over 30 years. I am fluent in matekitetanga, wairuatanga, romiromi, mirimiri and rongoā Māori. Navigating the physical and spiritual realms from a lifetime of mentoring has informed my work with high needs whānau to heal mate Māori, mate porangi, mate haurangi, and mate makutu spiritual afflictions that are often at the core of mental health diseases, long term chronic diseases and injuries, incurable disorders, addictions, spiritual imbalances, domestic violence, eating disorders, suicide and sexual abuse.

Dr Charlotte Mildon. AIO Healing Ltd:
Using a natural approach to clean the body’s systems with dietary changes, natural healing rongoā remedies, mirimiri, taa miri, koo miri and romiromi, restores the equilibrium often resulting in holistic wellbeing. Personally, I prefer to teach whaiora how to heal themselves so they can thereafter heal their own whānau. He Whakataukī: Ahakoa he iti, he pounamu. ‘When only the best will do … experience authentic traditional Māori healing romiromi’. See Website Here

Dr Charlotte Mildon AIO Healing Ltd : Kia Ora! He uri ahau nō ngā iwi o Hinemanuhiri, Rongomaiwāhine, Porou, Ruapani, Kahungunu. Ko Horouta me Takitimu ōku waka. Nō Ahuriri au. I’m located in Hawkes Bay but do online ACC sessions too.
I claim descent from a long line of Tohunga (trained from an early age in traditional Māori healing) and Tohuna (Tuhoe sower of the seeds of ancient healing wisdom) and Tohunga Ahurewa (master healing priests/priestesses of a much higher order), and have been mentored by the following internationally acclaimed masters in their field:
Tohuna - the late Dr Pere (17 years), Tohunga romiromi - Atarangi Muru (12 years), Tohunga Ahurewa - the late Joe De La Mere (2 years) and Tohunga Ahurewa - the late Manu Korewha (10 years) and Tohunga Matekite - the late Pineaha Murray (2 years) as well as the Tohunga Rongoā - the late Te Awhina Riwaka (2 years) and Tohunga Rongoā - the late Tom Maraki (5 years).
In 2023, I graduated with a Doctorate in Philosophy having researched traditional Māori healing romiromi. As a result of my academic research, I recently published the Rongoā Māori report for High Needs Whānau in Ahuriri funded by the Mana Ahuriri Trust, the  ‘He Tohuna Kura Waka’ and ‘He Atua Wahine at the source of ancient Māori healing wisdom’ are available at libraries or on my website. Services Provided

ACC Rongoā Māori

ACC Rongoā Māori ACC recognise rongoā Māori as a kaupapa Māori service. It's culturally grounded care that weaves tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori, te reo Māori, and te ao Māori through all aspects of the service. We respect that these aspects embrace ngā taonga tuku iho (intergenerational gifts and knowledge handed down from tupuna Māori). We see rongoā Māori in the wider context of traditional Māori healing methodologies. ACC don't consider healing techniques from non-Māori cultural traditions, such as reiki or hyperbaric oxygen treatment, part of rongoā Māori. Even if they're provided by rongoā Māori practitioners.
