Description

Freedom Medical Alarms are discreet and easy-to-use devices that allow patients to maintain their independence and continue living safely in their own homes for longer.
Patients are directly connected to the 111 Ambulance Communication Centre who ensure that emergency calls are promptly answered and appropriate assistance is dispatched when needed. Read more about how the alarm works.
Available in a variety of devices, our New Zealand made, state-of-the-art medical alarms include free installation and unlimited ambulance services.

Freedom Medical Alarms is a jointly owned business between HealthCare NZ and Wellington Free Ambulance.

Fees and Charges Description

We are a Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ) accredited supplier, approved by the Ministry of Social Development (MSD), so your medical alarm will be fully funded, provided you are eligible for the Disability Allowance.
ACC clients: ask your case manager if you're eligible for medical alarm funding.

If you are not eligible, a private rental cost is from just $15.25 per week.

We cover the cost of ambulance call outs resulting from our clients using their medical alarm to call for help.
