HĀ Healing through the Breath is an ACC-registered Rongoā Māori practitioner
Oranga wellbeing from HĀ outside Hi within perspectives.
HĀ Healing through the Breath:
Focusing on the here and now, HĀ combines a range of ancient wisdom and new science of body, mind and spiritual energy work supporting each person's specific needs. These include kanohi ki te kanohi - talk therapy, HĀ healing techniques, Rongoā Māori herbal remedies, hohou i te rongo make peace, taonga pūoro musical instruments, mirimiri healing massage, pakiwaitara narratives, peer mentoring and cultural, clinical, professional supervision.
Together we discover and reveal an enquiry of understanding with empathy and humility. Through assisting in alleviating anxiety and stress, pain relief, repetitive cycles and providing muscle memory through breath techniques to aid in relaxing the hinengaro.

Cherene Neilson-Hornblow is an ACC-registered Rongoā Māori practitioner
I whakapapa to Te Tai Tokerau-Northland/ Norwegian and Te Tairāwhiti/Spanish - East Coast. I have been a registered comprehensive nurse for thirty years. My experience includes clinical, cultural and management. I was called and inspired to set up HĀ Healing Hub in 2022.
My approach in Te Ao Māori Centered Design includes Tikanga, Kawa, Intention. This combines Mātauranga Māori, Maramataka, Te Taiao, Rongoā Māori, Taonga Pūoro and HĀ breathwork techniques and healing providing balance and harmony combining ancient indigenous mātauranga with modern science and technology. It is important to build relationships and understanding Atua through wairuatanga to connect spiritual, physical, mental and whānau wellbeing.

It's culturally grounded care that weaves tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori, te reo Māori, and te ao Māori through all aspects of the service. We respect that these aspects embrace ngā taonga tuku iho (intergenerational gifts and knowledge handed down from tupuna Māori). We see rongoā Māori in the wider context of traditional Māori healing methodologies. ACC don't consider healing techniques from non-Māori cultural traditions, such as reiki or hyperbaric oxygen treatment, part of rongoā Māori. Even if they're provided by rongoā Māori practitioners.
