Volunteers are an essential part of Hospice Tairāwhiti. They play a crucial role within the organisation and are highly valued and appreciated alongside our paid staff. We have a dedicated and experienced group of volunteers who are able to support patients and families. Tailored to the individual needs of patients, volunteers can offer support and company which can also allow carers sometimes out. Volunteers also support patients living in aged care facilities. We also provide a biography service offering patients the chance to document significant times in their lives.
