Lake Taupō Hospice supports people who are living with a terminal illness to 'live every moment,' while providing comfort and specialist palliative care in the community.
We provide compassionate palliative care support for patients, their families/whānau and friends who are caring for a love one.
We support patients to achieve the best quality of life while living with a terminal illness. A holistic approach, which encompasses the whole person through practical advice and physical, emotional, spiritual support, medical and nursing care. Hospice care is provided free of charge.

Our Services: Our hospice community nurses are registered nurses. They visit patients and assess their needs on an on-going basis. This may include, liaison with other health professionals involved in the patient’s care organise and deliver Hospice equipment provide advice and support for the patient and caregivers work alongside the general practitioner in relieving symptoms arrange residential care admission for end of life or urgent respite care arrange personal care services if required.
