Today

Description

At Mana Wāhine, we empower wāhine and whānau to achieve Tino Rangatiratanga in their well-being.

We do this by providing culturally safe support for regular cervical and breast screening, via our collective of providers across Kāpiti, Porirua, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa.

We provide:

  • Cervical screening - at our Māori Health Provider sites and in the community
  • Enrolment and transport support for wāhine/whānau to breast screening appointments
  • Information about breast and cervical screening
  • Transport to appointments
  • Indigenous wāhine nurses
  • Full and confidential support
  • A positive experience
  • Whānau-centred support
  • And much more

Mana Wāhine is a collective of Māori Health Providers from Kāpiti, Porirua, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa.

Our collective includes: Hora Te Pai Health Services, Ora Toa Health Unit, Kokiri Marae Health and Social Services, Koraunui Te Turuma Hauora and Whaiora Whanui.
