Description
Mary Potter Hospice cares for people and their family or whānau when a person’s illness cannot be cured, and is getting worse.
Our vision is that people at the end of their lives have access to quality compassionate care when and where they need it.
Hospice community services are available for people living in Wellington, Porirua and the Kāpiti Coast and all our services are free of charge. Our services are jointly funded by donations, bequests and a contract with the District Health Board. We support our patients in their own home, in residential care or at our Inpatient Unit in Newtown. Our three community teams are made up of doctors, nurses, counsellors and therapists who provide holistic care and support.
