Description
The Population Screening team provide cervical screening via community clinics and/or via home visits in Hawke's Bay.
We provide cervical screening for:
- Māori and Pacific wahine
- Other women who are aged 30 and over and have never had a cervical screen in Aotearoa or if it has been 5 years or more since their last cervical screen
- Wāhine who live in the Hawke's Bay region but are not currently enrolled with a GP practice
We run the following clinics in Napier and Hastings: |

Napier Health Centre | Tuesdays (fortnightly) | 9.15am - 3.00pm |
Heretaunga Women's Centre | Wednesdays (fortnightly) | 9.30am - 3.00pm |
Camberley Community Centre | First Wednesday of the month | 10.00am - 2.00pm |

The Population Screening team can arrange and provide support for your cervical screen appointment. This might include transport to or from your appointment.

Remember, it is not unusual to feel whakamā/nervous when having your cervical screen. Just tell the screen taker so they can support you. You are welcome to bring a friend or whānau member to tautoko/support you.
