Te Whare o Kenehi is a kaupapa Māori health provider offering traditional rongoā Māori, spiritual healing, and mirimiri for the whole whānau.
Our practice is grounded in the Te Whare Tapa Whā model of wellbeing, recognising that physical, mental, spiritual, and whānau wellbeing are inseparable and together form the foundation of true hauora. We honour the interconnectedness of tinana (body), hinengaro (mind), wairua (spirit), and whānau (family and social wellbeing), and work holistically to restore balance, strengthen mauri, and support lasting vitality.
We are committed to supporting individuals and families to walk their own pathway toward healthier living.
Staff
We have two lovely wahine who share a wealth of Māori healing experience and knowledge. Through mirimiri and other traditional healing techniques, they support pain relief, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation. Their mahi helps to restore balance when our tinana (body) and wairua (spirit) feel depleted, overwhelmed, or unwell.
We are fortunate to have a tāne practitioner who works as a tikanga Māori counsellor. His practice is grounded in mātauranga Māori and incorporates approaches such as mahi-ā-wairua (spiritual healing practices), whiriwhiri kōrero (reflective and intentional dialogue), and other culturally aligned techniques that support holistic wellbeing
