Description

Our Health Centres at Mokoia Campus (Rotorua) and Windermere Campus (Tauranga) offer on-site free healthcare services to Toi Ohomai current, enrolled students and staff.

We offer the services of kaitiaki nurses, counselling services and referrals to internal and external support services. All of our services are confidential.

SERVICES AT MOKOIA CAMPUS AND WINDERMERE CAMPUS

The healthcare services include:

  • Kaitiaki Nurses appointments
  • Doctor appointments (T&C apply)
  • Counselling services
  • Health advice
  • Treatment of minor injuries and wounds
  • Health screening (asthma, blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks)
  • Sexual health services
  • Support with mental health challenges such as stress, anxiety or other challenges you may be facing
  • Smoking cessation support
  • Immunisations/vaccinations
  • Referrals to internal and external healthcare and wellbeing services and support

Health and counselling services are available during the term times on specified days at the Taupō, Tokoroa, and Whakatāne campuses, as below:

Fees and Charges Description

Nursing services: Nursing services are free to Toi Ohomai current, enrolled students and staff. 

Doctor services: Fees may apply, contact us for more information. 

Counselling: Toi Ohomai current, enrolled students are entitled to three free counselling sessions and if more help is needed the counsellor will refer you to the appropriate service.

Services Provided

Immunisation

Immunisation is the safest and most effective way to provide protection for you and your tamariki’s health. For more information view the NZ immunisation schedule.

  • Adult flu vaccine
  • Measles / Mumps / Rubella (MMR) vaccine
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine
  • Diphtheria / Tetanus / Pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine
  • Privately funded vaccinations

Physiotherapy (Windermere only)

Body in Motion Physiotherapy is an accredited ACC Endorsed Provider. This means clients with injuries covered by ACC don't have to pay a surcharge when receiving treatment. Body in Motion's physiotherapists have expertise in various fields including sports, spinal, and work injuries. Their qualified, caring treatment ensures their clients enjoy a full and speedy recovery from their injuries. Body in Motion provides this service free, here on campus. To make an appointment please call their offsite reception on 07 927 3330 or talk to the kaitiaki nurse about a referral.
