Description

The Waikato Family Centre provides a free, medically based family health service delivered by Registered Nurses to families/whānau experiencing challenges with their babies and children under two years old.

We support families throughout Hamilton and the wider Waikato region, including Thames, Tokoroa, Tauranga, Huntly, and Raglan. In addition, we provide compassionate care and guidance for parents experiencing prenatal and postnatal mental health concerns.

Referrals are welcomed from Mothercraft, Plunket, GPs, Midwives, Maternal Mental Health services, Paediatrics, and through self-referral — ensuring families can access support easily and without barriers.

Our service offers up to one hour of personalised, one-on-one consultations, extended day support at our Centre when needed, and phone consultations for families who are unable to attend in person. At Waikato Family Centre, we are committed to walking alongside families during their most vulnerable seasons, providing practical, medical, and emotional support when it matters most

Staff

Our dedicated, passionate Health Professionals consist of a Nurse Manager, Officer Administrator, Registered Nurses, Karitane Nurses and Volunteers.
