At Waikato Women’s Refuge, your wellbeing and the safety of your children is our number one priority. We believe that everyone deserves a life free from domestic violence and it is our job to help you protect what you value most.

Family and Parenting Support

We work alongside families experiencing hardship and assist them to connect with agencies and community providers to ensure they receive all of the assistance available to them. Our workers don’t just advocate for whānau, they also liaise with community groups and services to promote and encourage a wider network of support for whānau. We work with your whole family to increase safety for your children and, we encourage all parents to develop their parenting skills by ensuring that children have access to quality early childhood education.
