Description

Age Concern Taupō promotes dignity, wellbeing, equity and respect for all older adults and provides expert information and support services in response to older people's needs.

We provide the following services to the elderly of Taupō:

  • Fieldwork support services, impartial information and advocacy
  • Volunteer Visiting Service
  • Total Mobility Scheme
  • Public seminars
  • Falls prevention exercise group
  • Staying Safe driver refresher course 
  • Digital literacy sessions
  • Loan of equipment (walkers and wheelchairs)
  • Social opportunities; weekly senior social Connection group and monthly coffee groups

Fees and Charges Description

Free and membership based services are available. 

Donations play an important part in funding Age Concern Taupō, allowing us to provide essential services to older people in our community. Donations are welcome at any time.

9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Public Holidays: Closed Waitangi Day (6 Feb), Good Friday (3 Apr), Easter Sunday (5 Apr), Easter Monday (6 Apr), ANZAC Day (observed) (27 Apr), King's Birthday (1 Jun), Matariki (10 Jul), Labour Day (26 Oct), Auckland Anniversary (1 Feb).

Providing confidential support and empowerment to older people., Information Resources: Providing written materials eg. pamphlets and resources eg. videos and books.
