ATWC’s integrated Family Services, Early Childhood Education and Social Work services and programmes help to protect, nurture and provide opportunities for up to 3000 children, young people and their families across Auckland.

We aim to reconnect families/whānau and empower them to take control of their decision making so they can face the future with hope!

Fees and Charges Description

For our counselling and therapy service, we have a sliding scale of fees.

Normal preschool fees are charged at a very reasonable level.

All other services are free.

Family Start

Family Start provides an early intervention home visiting service targeted at vulnerable families in Central Auckland and North Shore with children aged 0 to three years. This is a parenting program that enables families with young children to access a comprehensive range of welfare, health, education and other services they may need.

Engaging Priority Families

Engaging Priority Families is our service to enrol into early education, Māori, Pacific, low socio-economic and refugee families with children between 3-5, who have not previously been enrolled.

Service types: Education and training, Pre-school education, Family / whānau support, Kaupapa Māori, Pacific People, Pregnancy and parenting, Family / whānau support, Asian support services.

Abuse & Violence Support/Counselling (for men, women, children and families)

Our team of therapists provide counselling for individuals (both adults and children), couples and families who are struggling with abuse and violence. This includes working to support those who have perpetrated family violence. However, we are not ACC registered. We support families to keep children safe.

Service types: Abuse and violence support, Counselling, Family violence intervention, Information and support, Referral to specialist services, Support groups, Stopping violence services, Counselling, Referral to specialist services, Information and support.

Youth Workers in Secondary Schools

Youth Workers in Secondary Schools comprises a team of multi-disciplined staff working in 7 secondary schools in Manukau and Central Auckland supporting year 9 and 10 students to stay engaged in schooling and achieve educational success.

Service types: Social work, Youth mentoring / development.

Residential Parenting Programme

We run a residential parenting programme with the input of a team of counsellors and child and adult psychotherapists.

Building Financial Capability

Building Financial Capability (BFC) is a range of services and products that help people and whānau to improve their financial wellbeing. BFC takes a strengths-based approach to empower people to get control of their money, set goals and achieve long-term, sustainable change.

Service types: Budgeting and help with debt.
