Description
AWHI Healthy Homes Initiative is a free service for whānau living in the Counties Manukau area. We aim to support whānau to have a warm, dry, healthy home.
Kaiwhakamana and Kaiwhakatere (Navigators/Support Workers) will do a home visit to assess the home and identify areas that may need to be improved to make a warm, dry and healthy home. We commit to supporting and work alongside whānau throughout the process until it is complete.
The AWHI Healthy Homes Initiative offers support with practical advice to keep your home warm and dry.
If you'd like to know more, you can contact us directly, ask your health professional to make an AWHI referral, or fill out a referral form and email to us at referrals@awhi.co.nz.
Referral Expectations
Whānau that fit the criteria are eligible for our healthy homes service. Referrals can come from health professionals or whānau can self-refer. We are happy to take calls regarding eligibility.
Referral Forms can be downloaded below.
We also provide referral training for Health and Social work agencies who would like to refer whānau they work with.
