BestStart Pukuatua is central to most primary schools in the area, and works with them to ease children’s transition to school.

At BestStart Pukuatua, we acknowledge and support children’s individual learning, and recognise the importance of cultural values, language and customs. We encourage and foster the development of partnerships with parents and appreciate that they are a vital part of the learning process.

We have four separate rooms that interweave our unique lakes within the area. – 3 months to 2 years old (Tikitapu), 2 year old room (Okareka), our 3 year room (Rotoiti), and our 4 year old room - the Preschool Room (Tarawera).

When transport is an issue due to illness or family problems we can arrange a free collection and drop-off service.
