Description

Our Kaituku Haumanu support whānau through a Kapa Haka program tailored to their emotional and therapeutic needs.

He aha te kai o te rangatira? He koorero, he koorero, he koorero!
What is the food of leaders? It is communication!

Our programmes explore the possibilities for healing at the heart of this whakatauki by asking - how might we enable whānau to be leaders of our waiora (total wellbeing for the individual and family) by improving our emotional communication?

Using fundamental elements and tikanga of Māori Performing Arts and weaving it with whitiwhiti kōrero and whānau-centred therapeutic approaches, Kapa Haumanu programmes are specifically designed to enrich and promote holistic hauora.

Kapa Haumanu also provides individual counselling to help support whānau in need.
