Māngere Budgeting Services Trust provides free confidential help and advice to families and individuals experiencing financial difficulty and social issues. The aim of our organisation is for our whānau to become self empowered so they can go on to manage their own financial affairs and create brighter futures for their children/tamariki.

We provide confidential services and do not discuss client details or circumstances with anyone unless the client agrees in writing.

All our services are free of charge to families/whānau and individuals accessing our services however a fee does apply to business owners or organisations wanting to access our support services for their employees or workforce. 

We deliver our services from locations in Māngere, Ōtāhuhu and Ōtara.

We are dedicated to helping families and individuals achieve better lives.

Fees and Charges Description

All of our services are free of charge to families/whānau and individuals accessing our services on-site at Māngere, Ōtara or Tuakau, however a fee does apply to business owners or organisations wanting to access our support services for their employees, workforce or students.

We provide free advice, support and advocacy for individuals and families across a range of housing-related matters. Including but not limited to rent payments, Tenancy Tribunal applications, evictions and tenancy repairs.

Our financial mentors provide a wrap-around support service to help people progress in all aspects of their financial wellbeing. Such as, but not limited to: KiwiSaver Hardship Applications Making sure you know and understand your entitlements Navigating debt and financial hardship Referrals to other support providers Financial support options available to you Managing your day-to-day finances Planning for the future

We offer a range of confidential counselling and community connections support services that are inclusive and caring. Counselling and community connections services are available free of charge to anyone going through difficult times. How we can help A community connections support worker or counsellor works with people individually or in groups to support those experiencing tough times or dealing with a crisis. We have access to a huge support network and can connect our clients to the right organisation with access to a wide range of resources. We can assist with immediate relief in the event of a crisis or family harm event with ongoing care and assistance. Support services such as Trauma and grief counselling Relationship counselling Handling anxiety and stress Looking after your mental health Abuse and violence support Conflict resolution Victim support Referrals to specialist services

Our food relief programme offers food parcels, assistance and resources to eligible people in need. If you or your whānau are experiencing food insecurity, you may be eligible for financial assistance and food relief.
