Description

Manline is a counselling and education service run by men, for men. Our mission is to help reduce all forms of violence and abuse, whether perpetrated by men, or against men.  We and promote healthier lifestyles and relationships by providing services to men individually in a number of locations and on a wide range of topics

Staff

We have 7 experienced male counsellors with a variety of professional skills. Some have specific training in EMDR, trauma, historic sexual abuse (ACC).

Manline services are unique in that we are the only "men helping men" organisation  in the Manawatu and Tararua region offering services for men to explore issues within their lives.

We work by appointment only. Contact us to find out more about our programmes and services, and to make an appointment at one of our offices

Referral

You may be self referred, through your GP, Community Mental Health team or other providers . We also receive referrals from Courts, Corrections, Police and Community Safety Teams

Fees and Charges Description

While we suggest a koha of $30, we would never turn a man away if he is unable to pay. We have a variety of funders who can assist men on their journey, and we will work with you as long as you need us.

Stopping violence services

We promote non-violent lifestyle for men who wish to change how they live their lives. We provide Stopping Violence and Anger Management programmes designed to help men identify anger, violence and abuse, and to understand the difference between them. We also provide individual counselling and men's therapy and self-change groups.

Counselling

Manline is a counselling and education service run by men, for men over the age of 13. Our counsellors are able to work with you around relationships, positive parenting, anxiety, stress, social isolation, sexual and physical abuse, as well as anger and stopping violence programmes. We can also help with workplace conflict, addictions, and other issues whether current or historical.
