Fees and Charges Description

Our qualified team provides services for anyone who needs it with utmost integrity. Contributions from our clients are essential for us to continue to provide our services. Some charges may apply. We can help you apply for WINZ counselling subsidy if you are eligible. Please discuss possible payment/donation options with your counsellor.

Programmes

Counselling & Social Support

Whilst we work with people from all cultures, genders and religions, Sahaayta’s primary focus remains the safety well-being of South-Asian migrant and refugee families. We provide culturally appropriate counselling for: Individuals Couples Families Children Youth Elderly We provide general counselling in Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Fiji-Hindi, Tulu, Arabic, Dutch and English with issues relating to: Migration and settling in Grief and loss Anger Self Esteem Relationships Conflict resolution Stress Anxiety Depression Domestic Violence and Abuse Trauma Communication Parenting We offer periodical seminars, workshops and groups (not court approved) which can also be run on request for groups of at least 6 people at a reasonable fee. Anger Management Programme, Ahimsa Men's Non Violence Programme, Saveraa Self Esteem Group and Parvarish Parenting Programme can be delivered in a group or individual format. In addition we conduct Sahaara women's group monthly. We network with and provide information on appropriate community organisations and help with accessing these services (legal services, budgeting, food parcels, specialist services etc).

AHIMSA - Non-violence Programme Culturally appropriate 12-16 week Non Violence Programme currently being offered on individual basis. SAHAARA - Coffee groups for ethnic women Monthly coffee groups for migrant and former refugee women focussed at integration, support connection to communities and mainstream organisations. Various topics and guest speakers provide stimulating conversations and discussions towards empowering and celebrating womanhood.
