Description

Te Whare Tiaki Rongomātāne Men’s Centre offers an immediate response and frontline service for men.

The Men’s Centre is a drop-in centre from 9 – 3 pm every weekday. It provides a safe space for a chat and whānau support.  Tāne can present with any issue for support, including employment, behaviours, legal, violence issues, health, disability or mental health.

We are a friendly service and offer a cuppa tea right through to a chat and individual appointments.

Evening Groups (Tiaki Tāne): Monday and Wednesday evenings, 6pm - 8pm, open to all men.  We share kai and provide a supportive environment to learn and grow.

We also assist with work readiness training for men, one on one or in group sessions.

We are part of the Safe Man Safe Family coalition, a group dedicated to providing services to men who want to make changes in their lives.  They may be mandated to attend living without violence courses, or they may be recognising behaviours that are impacting on partners and children and want to change. Rongomātāne is here to walk alongside men who want to make those changes.

Te Whare Tiaki Rongomātāne is operated under the whānau services of Te Whare Tiaki Wāhine Refuge Charitable Trust.
