Turuki Health Care is a charitable trust based in Māngere, South Auckland, providing services to the wider Counties Manukau catchment area.

'Born' in 1995 as  Putea o Pua, a Māori midwifery service, Turuki Health Care now provides a comprehensive range of primary health care and social services specifically targeting women, children and their whānau.

Turuki Health Care is an accredited specialist provider of services to women, babies and whānau.  Everything that we do is ultimately focused on achieving Wahine Oranga, Whānau Oranga.

Abuse and violence support

We provide a Kaupapa Maori based domestic violence programme which can be individual, group or a combination of both according to the needs identified during an assessment. Awuru Mowai Born to Learn is a developmental programme delivered as a part of the Family Start service. Ante-natal Wananga which provides a one day Kaupapa Maori based education and ante-natal support programme. This programme embraces natural childbirth. We run a range of courses enhancing career and life skills for example gaining a drivers licence. The courses are driven by what the community needs. Employment support

Courses have been provided to create a CV and assist whanau with interview skills. Whanau are able to participate in 'path planning'; identifying their needs and the supports which will assist them to achieve their goals.
