Description

We provide budgeting, counselling and social work services to the local community of Waiuku and West Franklin. We are agents for the Waiuku Food Bank and offer emergency clothing and linen.

We appreciate that seeking help for personal issues can be difficult so we offer a totally confidential service. We are here to help you understand the services we offer and how they may help you. 

Within the agency, we offer a holistic approach to helping people; our experienced specialists work together as a team to help resolve the varied issues that contribute to preventing people achieving their full potential.

We can provide information, face to face counselling, specialist children's counselling, couples therapy, budgeting advice, social workers, assistance with children's clothing and household goods and we have access to Foodbank (criteria does apply).

Our aim is to offer a variety of support services for the local community including issues around: Relationships & conflict Parenting Depression Anxiety & stress Grief & bereavement Anger Self esteem Communication Mental health issues Post traumatic stress Phobias Alcohol, drug and other addictions. Our Counsellors work with children, teenagers, adults and couples. What is Counselling? Counselling is a process of addressing and resolving personal problems. Their role is to assess peoples' needs and then access supports that meet those needs. Our budget advisors are trained to work alongside you to teach you how to resolve your financial difficulties. First they look at your income, and for beneficiaries this means checking you are getting your proper entitlements. Categorise your spending, so you can see what you've been spending your money on! With your spending categorised, you can see how much you actually spend on each category, and then set realistic spending targets. It may be that they can help to reduce debts by advising you on consolidation or re-negotiating payment terms. Help you to set and manage goals - like paying off debts. You don't need to be in trouble to benefit from a professional budget advisor's help. We can help anyone to understand how to manage their money better.
