Description

Wellington Women’s House is a safe and comfortable home for women on low incomes or in transition.

For more than 20 years, the Wellington Women’s House has been home to women who need a safe place to stay, often at a difficult time in their lives. We provide low-cost, temporary housing to help women get back on their feet and ready to take the next steps in life. 

Our vision is that every woman in Wellington has a safe and comfortable home that enables her to meet her needs.

Our staff can also help you:

  • connect with other services to help you achieve your goals
  • access benefits or entitlements
  • get advice and guidance when you need it.

Staff

We have a small, dedicated team of staff who help ensure everything at the House runs smoothly.

Our team includes:

  • a qualified Social Worker
  • a co-ordinator
  • a cleaner

You can apply to stay in the House by filling in an application form, or contacting us directly.

Our availability is limited, but we keep a waitlist and may be able to refer you to another housing provider if need be.

Fees and Charges Description

There is a rent payment to stay at the house, which also covers power, and access to a landline and wifi. When you move in, you’ll need to pay 2 weeks rent in advance and 1 week's bond.
