Description
Our community centre provides a range of services and clinics that support the health and wellbeing of families and individuals and we reach across communities from Coromandel to Tairua including Cooks Beach and Hahei. There are also three schools within our area of coverage.
Whitianga Social Services is at the heart of our community. Our mission is to provide services which empower people in our community to become self-reliant.

All of our staff and volunteers are fully vaccinated and Police vetted every 2 years.

We can provide a lot of services without an appointment so come on in and we will see how we can help you.
Make an appointment
We have a range of Government Departments and health professionals who hold clinics here. If you want to see someone give us a ring on 07 866 4476 and we can tell you when they will be here so you can make an appointment.
We also have several groups who gather here each week to enjoy each other's company and either learn or create.
Referral
You can self refer to our services or you may be referred to us by a healthcare worker, school etc. We respect your right to privacy and to give permission for us to work with you and we will discuss your situation with professionalism and sensitivity.

We provide grocery parcels to help with an emergency situation. If required, families in need will be supported with extra community-donated goods. Budgeting help is available, if necessary, so people can manage independently. We have a pre loved shop attached to the Trust. If you need bedding, sheets, blankets and basic items we can help you with these. We have a range of adult and children's clothing and footwear available along with plates, pots knives and forks. If you are moving house we may be able to help with furniture.

We use a range of approaches to assist children, teens and adults find solutions to their unique situations. Counselling can cover a range of issues including: anger, abuse, behavioural issues, grief and loss, relationships, confidence and goal setting.
