Description
Awarua Whānau Services delivers Kaupapa Māori services that provide for whānau wellbeing by servicing their social, health and educational needs. We work with whānau to achieve a positive and healthy change - Hapai ake to whānau ki nga taumata oranga.
As a charitable trust and a non-government organisation (NGO) we offer services to the community that are accessible to clients from all social and cultural groups within Murihiku, however we are primarily funded to work with Māori. Our target groups are from conception to Kuia and Kaumātua (elderly), and we offer a range of social, health and early childhood education services. The geographical area we cover encompasses all of Southland.
