School Based Health Services (SBHS)
Health Clinics set up in schools supported by Nurses and General Practitioners (doctors) allowing students to access healthcare whilst at school. This includes things such as health promotion and education, injury management, sexual health needs such as contraception and sexual health check ups, mental health support, assistance with social issues. The clinics within these schools cover a variety of aspects of health care and are able to make appropriate referrals if needed.

There is also a nursing service that covers Alternative Education Centres in North & West Auckland. The nurses working within these schools deliver the above healthcare services to the students, often linking students up with other community services such as the Youth Health Hub and the Your Choice Programme.
