Eastcare Residential Home provides a homely environment set back from the road in a quiet residential area in Hamilton East. We offer Rest Home and Dementia care, where quality of life is provided through excellence in care and services.
With a total of 47 beds our home is divided into two distinct areas. We have an open plan rest home and a dementia unit with two secure wings, one for mobile and active residents and the other for residents who are more dependent on staff. Residents, their families/whānau and our staff are recognised and encouraged to participate as members of our family.
We have lovely garden courtyards with outdoor seating. Dementia patients have secure garden areas where they can sit and enjoy the sunshine or have a short walk admiring the work of our talented gardener. Our company van takes residents on weekly outings which have included Lavender Fields and the Olde Creamery. Activities include bowls, craft groups, singing, games and exercise along with visits from Canine Friends. We have an open door policy with regards to visiting, allowing friends and family to stop by at any time convenient to them. Residents are welcome to have their husband/wife join them for meals from time to time (a small fee is charged for the meal).
