Description

Māngere East Community Centre's mission is to provide an inclusive and accessible environment where people can come together to connect, learn, interact, contribute and celebrate community wellbeing.

Here at Māngere East Community Centre we offer a wide variety of activities run and participated in by and for the community. Community activities include:
  • Tai Chi - especially beneficial for muscular and joint conditions and rehabilitation after accidents.
  • Te Reo, Karanga, Tikanga, Korowai
  • Sewing classes - celebrating ethnic crafts and learning basic sewing skills
  • English for speakers of other languages 
  • Out of School Care for whānau schooling at local schools
  • Positive Parenting HUB
  • Hoki Ki Te Rito – parenting for mothers, fathers & couples with preschoolers
  • Incredible Years - parenting skills for positive family relationships for parents with children aged 3-8 years
  • Antenatal classes

    • Tai Chi - Wednesday 12.30pm - 2.00pm
    • Te Reo - Mondays 6:00pm - 8.00pm
    • Korowai - Wednesdays and Thursdays 6:00pm - 8:30pm
    • Korowai - Friday 10:00am - 2:00pm
    • Hoki Ki Te Rito – Monday 9.30am-2.30pm. 14 week course
    • Incredible Years - day or evening courses. 14 week course
    • Antenatal classes - Wednesday 10.00am - 12.30pm. Six week course

    Before School 7am - 8.30am

    Afterschool 3pm - 6pm
