Description

Otago Community Hospice supports people with terminal illness to live and die well. We support our patients wherever they want to be – that may be in their home, in a residential care home setting or, if their needs are complex, within our inpatient unit. Where we can, we aim to keep people in their environment, symptom-free, for as long as possible.

We provide a wide range of services, free of charge, for people who are approaching the end of their life and whose palliative care needs are beyond the level able to be supported by their local services e.g. GP and District Nurses alone. We also provide care and support for the patient’s loved ones.

We have Hospice hubs in Dunedin, Cromwell and Ōamaru.
